PREFACE
‘Knowledge Explosion’ and ‘information explosion’ are the terminologies used to represent the growth of knowledge. Knowledge gets accumulated; process of organizing knowledge available in different formats is the skilled work of knowledge workers. Librarian is the knowledge navigator. His task comprises principles and information technology to develop, deifies and utilize knowledge. Information tools are designed and developed to help the learning process in the education dissemination system.
With the changing technology and their induction in libraries, the librarians have to update their skill to cope with the situation. Hence the need of staff development.
This book addresses some crucial issues pertaining to staff development inn libraries. Hopefully, this handbook will prove of utmost use.

Toobaa Foundation
The purpose of Toobaa Foundation is to serve scholars and help students specializing in MPhil, PhD, or any other field. For this purpose, Toobaa Foundation has a program to digitize all libraries across the country, whether private or governmental. The primary objective is to catalog libraries, present lists and introductions of available books, conduct scanning of rare manuscripts, and scan books that need to be digitized into PDF and Kindle formats.
Appeal
We appeal to you to cooperate with Toobaa Foundation to achieve this great objective. Search for libraries around you, at the district and tehsil levels, and contact librarians and administrators to connect with us.
Special cooperation is needed for scanning books, and you can collaborate with us in any possible way. You can scan and provide books to us, or get them scanned and then provide them to us. Send us lists of books available in your library and their titles.
