اصل ناں آغا محمد تے جوش تخلص کر دے سن ۔ 1919ء نوں پشاور دے اک معزز گھرانے وچ پیدا ہوئے ۔ آپ بچپن توں ای بڑے ذہین تے ہو شیار سن ۔ ابتدائی تعلیم محلے دی اک مسجد توں حاصل کیتی۔ قرآن مجید ترجمہ کے تفسیر نال پڑھیا۔ قرآن مجید دا ترجمہ پڑھن تے سمجھن توں بعد اوہنوں اپنی زندگی وچ شامل کیتا تے تاحیات لیتا کے تاحیات ایہدے ای تابع رہے۔ ایس توں بعد بہت ساریاں دینی کتاباں دا مطالعہ کیتا ۔ مذہب نال گہری دلچسپی نے محبت دا روپ دھار لیا تے آپ نے فقہ تے حدیث داعلم وی حاصل کیتا ۔ ایہناں دے گھر دا ماحول مذہبی کی ایسے واسطے مذہب نال ایہناں نوں قدرتی لگاؤ ہی ۔ بچپن توں ای صوم و صلوۃ کے پابند سن۔ آپ دی وفات 18 اکتوبر 1976ء نوں پشاور وچ ہوئی۔
ایہناں دی مرقد مبارک پشتو دے صوفی شاعر رحمان بابا دے مزار توں کوئی سو گز دے فاصلے تے اے۔ ایہناں دے کلام تے مذہبی رنگ گوڑھا اے۔ ایہہ شاعری را میں وعظ نصیحت کر دے تے سدھے راہ تے چلن دی تلقین کر دے نہیں ۔
طوبیٰ فاونڈیشن

The region of Pothohar has been home to many great Sufi poets, among whom Sufi Syed Akbar Aassi (صوفی سیداکبر عاصی) holds a distinguished place. Born in 1909 in the village Bhindar (بھنڈر), Islamabad, he was deeply rooted in spiritual and literary traditions. His Punjabi poetry collection, Gallan Faqr Diyan Ishq Bhariyan (گلاں فقر دیاں عشق بھریاں), is a testament to his deep devotion to Sufism, his love for the Prophet (PBUH), and his commitment to the path of divine truth.
Syed Akbar Aassi (سیداکبر عاصی) was not only a poet but also a devoted disciple of the Sufi path. His poetry blends themes of divine love, humility, and the search for ultimate truth. He beautifully expresses the struggles and joys of a seeker of truth, portraying both metaphorical and real aspects of spirituality. His words reflect his deep connection with Allah, the Prophet (PBUH), and the saints of Islam.
Life and Career
Belonging to the Rajput (راجپوت) family, Syed Akbar Aassi (سیداکبر عاصی) received his early education in his hometown. Alongside religious teachings, he completed his bAassic schooling up to the eighth grade. In 1932, he joined the Police Department (محکمہ پولیس) and served with honesty and dedication for 35 years, primarily in Delhi (دہلی) before retiring.
Even during his service, he remained deeply inclined towards Sufism. He frequently visited the shrines of saints and maintained a profound spiritual connection with the awliya (اولیاء). His devotion led him to a life centered on worship, contemplation, and poetry, which became a means to spread the message of divine love and unity.
Themes in His Poetry
The poetry of Syed Akbar Aassi (سیداکبر عاصی) revolves around several key themes:
- Divine Love (عشق حقیقی): His verses express a deep yearning for Allah and the Prophet (PBUH), emphAassizing unconditional love and devotion.
- Spiritual Poverty (فقر): Inspired by the teachings of great Sufi saints, he highlights the virtues of humility and detachment from materialism.

Mehrab Khawar (محراب خاور) is a distinguished poet whose poetry (شاعری) holds a prominent place in literature (ادب). I have been acquainted with his remarkable personality for the past ten years. It is said that a verse (شعر) is a reflection of a poet’s true self.
The philosophy (فلسفہ) and mysticism (تصوف) in Mehrab Khawar’s (محراب خاور) poetry contain unique symbols and deep meanings that set him apart from all other poets (except for great poets like Allama Iqbal (علامہ اقبال)). For instance, when Mehrab Khawar (محراب خاور) wrote about “Adam” (آدم), he depicted dust/clay (خاک) in such a way that every reader could vividly experience their own greatness (عظمت), rise and fall (بلندی و پستی), and the mysteries of creation (تخلیق), as if these were living images before them.Mehrab Khawar (محراب خاور) presents Adam from every era in the form of the eternal Adam (ازلی آدم). His spiritual poetry (روحانی شاعری) is reminiscent of how Allama Iqbal (علامہ اقبال) infused the essence of Rumi (رومی) into his work. His book “Lalaan Di Kaan” (لعلاں دی کان) is a literary masterpiece (ادبی شاہکار) that, when read with an open heart and mind, reveals that the poet has transcended his own existence into another spiritual (روحانی) form.He crafts pearls of wisdom (حکمت) from dark soil and presents them to the seekers of spiritual wisdom (عرفان). My prayer is that Allah Almighty (اللہ تعالیٰ), for the sake of Prophet Muhammad PBUH (سرکارِ دو عالم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم), elevates his thought-provoking verses (فکر انگیز کلام) and makes them a source of Sufism and Gnosis (تصوف و معرفت) for true seekers. Ameen (آمین).
