مناقب المحبوبین کے مرتب حاجی نجم الدین سلیمانی تھے جو قصبہ جو نجنوں نزد جے پور ، ہندوستان کے رہنے والے اور حضرت خواجہ حمید الدین ناگوریؒ کی اولاد سے تھے۔ حاجی صاحب ؒ1250 ھ( مطابق 1834ء) میں پہلی بار تونسہ شریف حاضر ہو کر حضرت خواجہ شاہ محمد سلیمان ؒسے بیعت ہوتے اور چھ ماہ کے قلیل عرصے میں ہی خلافت و اجازت کی نعمت سے مشرف ہو گئے۔ مناقب المجبوبین حاجی صاحب کی فارسی تصنیف ہے، جو انہوں نے 1278ھ 1861ھ ترتیب دی۔ اس میں انہوں نے آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے لے کر اپنے پیرو مرشد حضرت خواجہ شاہ محمد سلیمان تونسویؒ دو سال تک سلسلہ عالیہ چشتی سیلمانیہ کے جملہ بزرگوں کے حالات درج کئے ہیں۔ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے لے کر محب النبی حضرت مولانا فخر الدین دہلوی ؒ(وصال 1199ھ،1784ء تک کے حالات بہت اختصار کے ساتھ قلبند کئے گئے ہیں اور قبلہ عالم حضرت خواجہ نور محمد مہارویؒ اور غوت زماں حضرت خواجہ شاہ محمد سلیمان تونسویؒ کے حالات تفصیل کے ساتھ ۔ دیباچہ کتاب میں حاجی نجم الدین صاحت نے اس اختصار اور تفصیل کا سبب بیان کر دیا ہے۔
